Wakefield Phoenix Netball Club
A netball club offering adults and children the opportunity to compete in the West Yorkshire Leagues, the club has now got over 100 members. They have won many regional festivals but have had to work hard for their success.
In 2004 they were the first club in the region to be accredited with England Netballs Gold CAPS (Club Action Planning Scheme) after much work implementing policies, programmes and material.
The volunteers have also worked hard to raise funds to purchase new kit for the Senior Teams but wanted to do this for the junior teams as well. Their grant for £1,000 meant they could do this and bought new kit and bibs ensuring all members felt part of the team.
