Rugby Sea Cadets
A voluntary youth organisation, the clubs offers children in Rugby from 10-18 years old with the chance to take part in sailing, canoeing and rowing.
With 40 cadets and 10 voluntary staff, there are a number of boats which need to be maintained. But membership fees are often used to pay for sailing fees. Any other funding is used to take the cadets from their inland unit to the coast for experience sailing on the sea.
The £1,000 they won went to maintenance and replacement of safety equipment and contribution to fees.
