Leamington Lions Girls Football Club
Leamington Lions was founded in 1998 to provide an outlet for girls to play football in the Leamington and Warwick area. Training sessions take place five nights a week with players being offered the opportunity to get involved on a recreational level or at a highly competitive league level.
With many links in the local community the club continues to attract new players and managers are keen to develop the young players who aspire to play for the first team. To do this it is vital that some of the volunteer coaches can attain the required coaching awards and that worn out kit is replaced.
Joe Graham, Coach, said: "As with many football clubs volunteers are at the heart of the organisation and we're going to use our £750 grant to train one of our coaches to get their FA Level 3 award, one to gain their goalkeeping Level 2 award and another their disabled coaching award. The reaming funds will be used to purchase new samba goals and a number of size three footballs."
