Welsh Wheelchair Curlers
The Welsh Wheelchair Curlers club based in Deeside, Flintshire was created in 2003 to provide people with disabilities an opportunity to enjoy the sport.
The team, now in its seventh year, has gone from strength to strength, competing at international events across Europe including the home of curling, Scotland.
The £250.00 Cash 4 Clubs grant will enable members of the team to purchase spare wheelchair wheels and will also help with travel costs. Currently with 13 members the club hope that by being able to keep travel cost to a minimum, they'll encourage new players to join and take up wheelchair curling.
Peter Knapper, Treasurer, said: "The Welsh Wheelchair Curling Team wishes to thank Cash 4 Clubs for their kind donation which will help towards travel expenses and extra equipment needed by team members."
