Blaenafon Barracudas
Blaenafon Barracudas Swimming Club in Blaenafon near Torfaen has been running for over 40 years. The club welcome swimmers of all ages from beginners to athletes with aspirations to swim at national level.
Unfortunately two years ago their pool was damaged in storms and the facility was closed down. Since then the club has been based in the neighbouring town of Pontypool sharing the facilities there. However the community are working hard to re-establish themselves in Blaenafon with the first step being the provision of their own equipment. £1,000 from Cash 4 Clubs will go a long way to helping them purchase swimming aids for swimming lessons for beginners and children with disabilities.
