Liskeard & Looe RFC Mini-Juniors
Liskeard & Looe Mini-Juniors is a community rugby club promoting fun and fitness to over 200 boys and girls aged 5 to 18 years. The club plays a key role in the local community and has developed Club-School Contracts to engage youngsters in the sport. Their involvement with the school has in particular allowed the club to attract numerous girls to the game.
With fees for training, equipment and subsistence equating to £2 per week there are few financial barriers to joining allowing everyone in the community the chance to develop skills in teamwork, fitness and discipline through rugby, with a team of dedicated and well-trained volunteers.
Having applied to Cash 4 Clubs for a sports grant to enhance club safety at all levels, they have been able to use the money to run first aid workshops, update First Aid equipment, fund coaching courses for the junior coaches and replace some training cones and balls.
