High Cross Field Archery Club

High Cross Field Archery Club was formed in 2007 and is due to move to a new woodland site in early 2011. As some of the facilities on the old site are no longer available, the club submitted an application to purchase targets. The club needs these targets for practice sessions but also hopes to expand its membership and will use these to host open competitions for up to 160 plus archers.

Angus Geddes, Secretary, said: "Whilst the move to our new location is exciting we were slightly worried as we needed to invest in target butts. We are delighted to receive this £500 from Cash 4 Clubs, all of which will go towards purchasing materials to make 10 new butts. We hope that we can use these to run larger archery tournaments."
