Thunderbirds Netball Club
Thunderbirds Netball Club is based in West Berkshire and currently has over 50 members aged from 14 to 50. The club has grown from strength to strength with seven senior teams and three junior teams the club has grown to be one of the largest clubs playing in the Reading League.
The club is currently running a number of coaching session in local primary schools and have already seen junior members increase. It is now necessary to train more of the volunteers up as coaches to allow this programme to develop further and it is for help funding these courses that the club applied for a Cash 4 Clubs grant.
Lucy Sullivan, Coach, said: "Thunderbirds are going to be spending the whole £1,000 we've been awarded by Cash 4 Clubs on coaching courses. We'd like to put three ladies through their Level 2 coaching award and hope that this is a good step to ensure our club continues to thrive over the coming months and years."
