MK Ace Tennis

MK Ace Tennis launched in September 2009 and prides itself on providing fun and friendly tennis that is suitable for all age groups, standards and aspirations. The club hopes this inclusive and welcoming environment benefits tennis, local sport and the community as a whole and with almost 150 members to date, the approach seems to be working!

The club are working within the local community to promote the concept of healthy and active living and through partnership with a number of schools are looking to involve those less privileged to take an active role in tennis, either as a player or volunteer.

The £500.00 grant given to the club will see all coaches and assistants decked out with MK Ace t-shirts and hoodies. With such an increased membership, it is becoming more and more vital that all volunteer staff are easily identifiable at training sessions.

Katie Monsey, Fundraising Coordinator, said: "The £500 Cash 4 Clubs grant has been a real help to MK Ace Tennis. With the money we have been awarded we will be able to buy MK Ace Tennis branded hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts for our coaches and assistants. This will not only make them more visible during training but the increase in general public awareness of the brand and the ability to link the brand to excellent tennis coaching will hopefully lead to an increase in the number of people taking up tennis in the Milton Keynes area."
