Lyminge JudoKwai

Lyminge JudoKwai is run from the local village hall and provides access to a British Judo Association affiliated club those living in many of the towns around. Established over 35 years ago, students rang from 6 to 60 years old.

The club's aim is to promote respect for others, fair play and professional standards within the judo community whilst developing students' confidence and ability. The club has a strict training schedule which sees students training throughout the week and competing at weekends.
The club aspires to grow and wants to keep introducing new beginners and progress its current members to learn and develop skills in free practice, randori (contest practice) and kata (sets of preformed moves).

Craig Munn, chairman, said: 'This funding from Cash 4 Clubs will see our head coach undertake UKCC Level 2 training and help fund our assistant coach with the UKCC Level 1 course. We can also afford to send our welfare officer on a child protection course. Without the £750 ultimately the club would face closure. This grant money will make such a difference!'
