Killyman Gaelic Athletic Club
Killyman Gaelic Athletic Club is a Gaelic football club based in Dngannon, Tyrone. The club is a small rural organisation primarily involved in the playing of Gaelic football and hurling but also the promotion of Irish traditional music and dance.
Killyman GFC is pivotable to the community as this is the only organised group in this rural area. We have a target number of 100 houses in our catchment area. The club has been in existence for 46 years and is central to people of all ages in both a sporting capacity but also an outlet for people to meet and socialise and grow as a strong community. The club's primary goal is to keep doing what it has done well for the past 46 years in continuing to build a strong community spirit by the provision of sport and social activities.
The Cash 4 Clubs sports grant of £500 was awarded to the club to go towards the cost of training 12 volunteer coaches. By developing their own coaches they will no longer have to spend money on coaches making the club more sustainable.
