Cairn Lodge Boxing Club
Cairn Lodge Boxing Club, an amateur club based in Antrim, Northern Ireland, was set up in 1981 to provide training and fitness sessions to young people in the area. Based at the Hammer Community Centre, the club is located within one of Belfast's most deprived wards. By offering local residents a welcoming place to train, regardless of their political or religious backgrounds, Cairn Lodge seeks to bring people together through their passion for boxing.
With the club currently experiencing an increase in the number of active members there was a desperate need for additional equipment. Cash 4 Clubs has given £500.00 to Cairn Lodge to enable them to purchase much needed punch bags, safety helmets and gloves.
Tom Dunn, Committee Member, said: "Cash 4 Clubs is a fantastic help for struggling small clubs, especially boxing clubs who often find it difficult to obtain funding."
