Trafford Wheelers
Trafford Wheelers is an all ability cycling club in Lancashire which sees members meeting one morning a week. Working with anyone in the local area who wants to take up cycling to keep fit the club has a number of riders with disabilities.
To cater for all they stock a number of trikes, tandems, hand propelled and wheelchair accessible bikes which allows club members to cycle for as little or as long as they like when they attend training sessions.
With the main aim of the club to improve people's lifestyles through exercise they are looking to operate five days a week. To do this they continually need to expand the number and types of bikes they own. By loaning bikes to members it means that costs can be kept to a minimum and the numbers of riders increased.
Helen Hines, Volunteer, said: "The £1,000 grant will be put towards the purchase of a much needed wheelchair accessible bike. This purchase will open up the world of cycling to a number of our members more frequently and will assist in their health and well being. Thanks Cash 4 Clubs!"
