Team Oasis
Liverpool's Team Oasis was established in 2003 and is a totally inclusive football club, accepting all players regardless of ability. The clubs started with only one team but due to its inclusive nature, now has 10 teams playing in leagues across Merseyside with a further five teams in training. The clubs has a huge impact in the local community having given hundreds of children the chance to play football.
The Cash 4 Clubs grant of £500 is vital to the clubs ever growing future. It will be used to further train coaches, which in turn will see more players from the local community being able to attend training sessions.
Daniel Gavin, committee member, said: 'The grant money will be spent on our coaching development. We are going to put one of our current coaches onto a Level Two course and another volunteer onto the Level One award. This is great news for our cub and will mean we can apply for the next stage of the FA club accreditation.'
Simply by having a Level 2 coach at the club, Team Oasis can look to become an FA development club. Looking to the future, this will give the club the ability to coach its own coaches, which will mean they can open their doors even wider.
