L. K. F. A is based in Bamber Bridge, Preston and with over 300 members is one of the largest martial arts clubs in the area. With a competitive arm that travels around the country the club also runs recreational classes in keep fit, flips and tricks, forms and kickboxing.
Due to the recent growth in members the club has decided to move to bigger premises. Whilst this will allow the club to develop and grow over the coming years, offering more classes to more people within the local community, it has also seen an increase in the level of training equipment needed. With this in mind the club applied for a grant and have received £500 to help with their upgrade which will ensure they can keep class costs to a minimum to encourage more people to get involved and get fit.
Gemma Wilcockson, Coach, said: "With so many members coming through our doors we see huge wear and tear on our equipment. We're glad we've received a grant from Cash 4 Clubs as it will enable us to buy 42 new jigsaw mats which will ensure the safety of members whilst at the training centre."
