Hazel Grove Cricket Club
Hazel Grove Cricket Club situated in Stockport, has 40 senior players and over 50 junior players taking part in training sessions and matches throughout the summer. The club is run entirely by volunteers who share a passion to see the club succeed.
The club has recently seen a steady growth in the number of young people joining - teamed with long term plans to increase capacity at all age groups and the introduction of indoor coaching from September through to April, Hazel Grove needs to ensure it has enough skilled coaches to deliver their training schedule. And they're going to use their grant to do just that!
Chris Glennon, Committee Member, said: "Hazel Grove will use the Cash 4 Clubs grant of £300 to help put three of our members through the Level 1 Coaching Course. By investing in our volunteers we are investing in the junior side of our club which can only be a good thing."
