Christleton Cricket Club
As a community club, Christleton Cricket Club caters for local players of all ages and often sees up to 100 juniors attend weekly sessions. With a comprehensive programme of matches, coaching and practice members take extreme pride in the incredibly high standard the club sets for players.
The club is keen to extend its impact by offering opportunities to play cricket both in and out of school; this is one of the ways they hope to become a cricketing hub in the local community. It also hope to further encourage the progression of our junior players through the age groups and into senior cricket with a view to populating more than 50% of our sides with 'home-grown' talent by 2015
Chris Brooks, committee member, said; 'Improving the number and quality of our coaches is one of our key aims and the Cash 4 Clubs grant will help us do just that. With the grant of £650 we can get more volunteer coaches trained up and we hope to also be able to purchase some additional training equipment.'
