Archery in the Community

Archery in the Community aims to make archery a more accessible sport especially for young people and those with disabilities. With weekly training sessions, school outreach programmes, taster classes and attendance at local festivals the club is slowly growing in size. Last year alone they ran 12 taster sessions which saw over 200 have a go at the sport.

With aspirations to grow the club and start training members to a competitive standard their £300 Cash 4 Clubs grant will put the club in a position where they will be able to start looking for a new trailer to store and transport their equipment to classes and events. The majority of funds will be raised by the club but the grant will provide a really kick start to the fundraising.

Domenico Vaughan, Coach, said: "We are in desperate need of a new trailer to store and transport our archery equipment so this donation from Cash 4 Clubs will kick start out fundraising efforts. We are very active in the local community and run a number of classes for beginners so it is vital we can get our kit to these sessions."
