Victoria Park Harriers & Tower Hamlets Athletics Club
Victoria Park Harriers & Tower Hamlets Athletics Club provides locals with the opportunity to take part in many athletics activities at whatever level they wish. The club operates year round and has a membership of over 300. The club relies heavily upon its network of volunteers and sees approximately 40 a week supporting activities.
As a key club in the local area, its goal is to be a vibrant viable sporting hub for the foreseeable future. With dedicated coaches the club work with members to achieve excellence and encourage healthy lifestyles.
Simon Butler, committee member, said: 'The £400 Cash 4 Clubs money will allow us to increase activities and the number of training opportunities offered to all club members. We will use half of the funds to increase participation in the wheelchair section of our club and will invest the remaining money in coach training.'
