Croydon School of Gymnastics
Croydon School of Gymnastics is based in south London and offers affordable and fun classes for all ages and abilities. With many partners and outreach gymnastics classes taking place in the local community the club continues to engage and create positive change in the community.
Always striving to perform better, through our coaching and training structures the club wants to offer young people the opportunity to give back. By using their grant the club will invest in current members and assist them in becoming coaches. A fully qualified workforce will provide all participants a better quality training; this will positively affect gymnasts' performances at competitions giving the club better results, while allowing senior gymnasts to develop into trainee volunteer coaches, creating a positive cycle of engagement.
It is hoped additional qualifications and the appropriate work experience will create develop young peoples' maturity, leadership, communication and organisation skills.
Jackie Lewis, Coach, said: "Whilst we are a really successful club we recognise that we can't stand still if we want to keep developing our gymnasts. This £1,000 grant from Cash 4 Clubs will ensure we can continue to develop the skills of our staff and increase the overall quality of coaching we're providing."
