Potters Bar Synchronised Swimming Club

Founded in 1998, Potters Bar Synchronised Swimming Club in Hertfordshire provides the opportunity for girls and boys to learn synchronised swimming. Run solely by parents and volunteers the club currently has over 30 swimmers who compete in regional and national competitions.

The club aspires to provide a safe and fun environment for swimmers to take part in the sport. Working with coaching staff, each member has a personal development plan and is encouraged to work with other swimmers to achieve the goals set out in it.

The Cash 4 Clubs grant of £500.00 will enable the club to replace one of the old sound systems that they currently use during training sessions and at competitions.

Lindsey Bennister, Committee Member, said: "We are delighted to receive this grant from Cash 4 Clubs which will help us enormously. In order to practice routines and compete in regional and national competitions, the club needs to use specialised audio equipment that will record and play CD's as well as amplify music underwater.

"Being awarded this grant is fantastic as it will enable the club to replace its dilapidated and out-of-date audio music system. Having modern equipment is vital to the club in order to support the development of our swimmers and encourage new members into the club."
